Healthy Snacking
A snack is really just a small meal. Depending on what it is made from, snacks can be useful before, during, and after long workout sessions and competitions to satisfy all the needs I discussed above. In addition, snacking can be very healthy and useful during travel to your events, as restaurant food is often limited to unhealthy choices. On race day, snacking can be your way to obtain a healthy pre-race meal as well as the necessary solid food during and after your event. In fact, perhaps no other single dietary habit can make a more positive difference than healthy snacking.
