Natural Hormones

All hormones play a major role in one’s physical, chemical, and mental well-being, and are important for all athletes. Three important hormones, produced by both men and women, include a group of estrogens, testosterone, and progesterone. As we age, and with increased stress, the production of these hormones is diminished. This occurs especially when cortisol rises, diminishing the production of DHEA, and subsequently diminishing the estrogens and testosterone.
