Basic Tomato Sauce
This is a quick and easy, tasty, and healthful all-around red sauce. Just put some chopped fresh tomatoes or whole canned tomatoes in an uncovered pot and boil (not simmer) until desired consistency. Add salt. When cooked down to a thicker sauce, tomatoes take on a unique taste all their own. Even without adding any spices you’ll have a greattasting sauce. You can also freeze it in small glass containers. Once you have the basic sauce, add garlic, parsley, basil, turmeric, or your favorite spices.
