Cold Compresses
The benefits of cold need not always come from ice. An excellent alternative is to use a towel soaked in very cold water with the excess water rung out. When not in use, place the towel in the refrigerator to keep it sufficiently cold. This can have a very good therapeutic effect, especially if a five- to ten-minute application is all you require. Don’t underestimate the benefits of this approach.
